g2 teg vs v6 stang

We were on the onramp next to each other and both gunned it, i got ahead of him and got on the freeway first. I slowed and let him catch him up, then we both took off. Neither one of us pulled ahead until we hit 110 and his governing chip kicked in and i kept accelerating.

Good kill

Getting the 6 in a Mustang is just wrong on so many levels. But they outsell the V8s by a wide margin.

Good job. What year was it and what kind of trans? The v6 mustangs are speed limited to around 120. I use to have a 95 v6 and have had it well over 110mph.

when I had my 94 RS with I/H/E and a 5 speed, and my 95 v6 auto mustang. I let a freind drive my mustang and I drove my integra. every single time we would race, we took off dead even and it stayed that way until my tach reached 4k in first, after then, the mustang just kept falling farther and farther behind. I wasnt launching too bad i dont thinik, a tiny chirp but never roasted them. and we stayed DEAD even til 4 grand every single time. mustang v6's suck! I also found out that mine has 145 HP and next year they had 195HP. thats what i have read at leats. and my friends moms 97 v6 auto is lots faster than mine so i believe it.

The 94/95 V6 mustangs have 145 hp. The 96-98 have 150 hp. Then in 99 they went up to 190hp. If an un-modified 1995 v6 with a auto trans could keep up with anything to 4k rpm. I am impresed, they are the slowest of the slow. Back when I had my 95 with 5-speed, it would run mid 15s in the 1/4. Thats with underdrive pullies, coldair induction, duel exhaust and a powerchip.

yes, its a stock v6 auto.

In uphill races it does alright against imports. on about a 30 degree hill on the way to my house, my freind in his 96 civic EX coupe 5 speed with intake took off then as I saw him start moving I took off. he beat me to the corner where the hill starts but from there I slowly gained on him and barely passed him as we went up the hill. I mean it took like 10 seconds to pass him but hey I did it

ok, well my friends moms was 97. I know 5 HP could not havce made that big of difference, maybe something was wrong with mine and i didnt know, oh, what kind of auto tranny did the 97 have. mine was a 3 speed with overdrive I think. sucker goes 55 in first.

True, 5 hp is barely noticable. If the friends mom had a 5-speed in the 97, then that is where a huge difference is. Through out 94-98 all the v6 stangs all used the same 4speed auto trans.

nope, same auto. thats why it made me so mad

another reason my car is so damn sloiw also is it goes 55mph in 1st gear by the time I get to m SUPER low redline of something like 5 i think. if they would have made the gears a lil shorter I wouldnt been so dissapointed. but at the AGE I WAS WHEN I GOT IT I WASNT OPLD ENOUGH TO TEST DRIVE CARS YET, HAD TO HAVE SOMEONE DO IT FOR ME.
