Go time : Lx turbo stang + GSR Teg
Ok, my friend has a 91' mustang LX turbo with a flowmaster system, and a K&N filter. His dad has a 95-96 5spd Teg GSR with stage 2 clutch, and intake. In my manual 6 with the exaust mods, do you thnk i would or cold takeeither of them? We ar gonna race soon and i really need to know what to expect.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You might mess around with the GSR, but your not even going to get close to touching the mustang if its turbocharged.

You might mess around with the GSR, but your not even going to get close to touching
Its an LX, not a 5.0 or anything and ts auto, i think the stock lx had somethin like 97 hp, so im hoping the turbo wont catch me offguard

Sounds fishy to me. Who spends the money to turbo a 1991 2.3 liter mustang lx? Unless you have the year wrong. They made factory turbocharged, SVO 4cyl mustangs from 19841/2 thru 1986 with hp ranging ftom 175 to 205. Have you actually seen the turbo?

Those stangs, i've seen modifyed stangs with turbos....low 14 to mid 13's is what I saw on the -mild- ones...so be carefull

Keep in mind, a 2.3 turbo engine is quite lightweight, and makes 150hp stock for the auto, and 190 hp stock for the manual tranny. The difference is in the boost level. If the guy has gone to the trouble of an engine swap, he's probably gone to the trouble of raising the boost...
I think you could probably clown on the Integra off the line, but he'd catch you in the long run, because of his top end power...
