mine doesnt work either. it really pisses me off cuz i cant see anything at night. It turns on when i put it to the on position but doesnt turn on when i open the door. So, its definitly not the bulb, ill have to pole around with the black springy door sensor thing tomorrow. Ill tell you if i find anything...

Lightbulb

OK, i found the problem, The latch thing is getting kinda rusty where the connecter grounds out to turn the light on, so all i did was scrape away the rust and slapped sum wd-40 or sumpin, and bent the tracks that the latch slid along, and now it works great! I had to do this to both driver and passenger sides. And yes im sure that the CX and STD are the exact same thing. Cause mine is just that, STD. no options on it.

yea, i did the exact same thing that fiercecivic did today too. It works perfect now. just use a file or my dremel tool worked great to get all the rusy off of the metal connectors. then lube it up and make sure that the track is tight enough to keep it moving straight, so its not wobbly and loose. plug it back in and screw it back on and it should work. And like fiercecivic said, you gotta make sure you do both doors.
