Why is a B16 more than a B18

Just curiosity sake, why is a B16 running more than a B18? Iv'e been checking the area for engines and I've found that I can get a B18 for about 1k (give or take some) and a B16 ANYWHERE I call is $3500. Everyone knows that a B18 has more power and potential so why so much for the B16?

where in the world are you finding a B18C1 for only $1000 (give or take)? Are you sure it is the B18 Vtec? that would mean if it was that is was either the B18C1 or the B18C5. Either one of them is around $3500-$5000 depending on where you loonk. I've seen the B16A for as little as $1200 (B16A1). Are you sure? What websites are you looking at?

WTF? Are you smoking too much crack? A b16 is always less than a b18. Maybe they have they screwed up the website. I've seen like b18 go for 3000 and maybe 2800.

Positive, i live around cleveland, ohio and ANYWHERE i go, a b16 is $3500. No one has offered any other price. It seems to be the standard. B18's on the other hand are going for about $1000 (without anything) and up. If you know of a place that has a b16 for a good price, please let me know.

You sure it's not just the longblock of the b18c? That would make more sense.
