Re: Tamiya 350Z
Great job. How did you handle the molded-as-one-piece undercarriage?

Re: Tamiya 350Z
You know as bad as the under carriage is for being one piece, with just a little detail painting it turns out to be rather convincing to the eye, as shown in your build here.
I'm not big on the green (prior US ARMY) but you did a fine job here. Welcome back to modelling.

Re: Tamiya 350Z
Hey, it's not bad at all! As for the color, it's not really usual on the 350Z, but at least, nobody has a 350Z like yours! Sometimes I hate to paint my cars the same color everybody use... Welcome back to modelling anyway!
Do you plan to paint the exhaust tips from the inside? It would add more realism to the car! Just an advice...

Re: Tamiya 350Z
personally i love the colour, its reminiscent of the old 240 and 260Z's,, and true, at least no one else has one like yours,

Re: Tamiya 350Z
Really nice build, especially the undercarriage masking. Maybe its the photos, but it looks like you may have a little bit of orange peel here and there. Just nit picking, but none the less, great job!

Re: Tamiya 350Z
there was some orange peel that I just couldn't get out
but the pictures make it seem worse than it is, you would need really good eyesight to see it from more than 12 inches away....always loved british racing green as a color and had two tamiya cans of it and was low on silver the other color I considered so said what the hey...also painted the wheels and built it as a moderately "low-key" tuned car...prefer to build my models OOB stock. The Tamiya undercarriages are very detailed but very hard to paint there was no way to avoid a combo or brush and spray but it came out ok....going to be starting a Tamiya WRX STi soon and its undercarriage already scares me! But its my favorite car so well see

Re: Tamiya 350Z
Did you try polishing the body with cloths? Tamiya compound will not take off orange peel, and although cloths are not the easiest thing to polish with, they will remove that and leave your paint looking a lot better. The orange peel and the unpainted exhaust tip insides were the only things I could see that need improvement. Otherwise, the car looks good! I'm not a big fan of the 350Z or of that color on it, but like others have said, it's nice to see something DIFFERENT for a change. (Like the Ferrari Enzo, available in a whopping 2 colors) Like you said, it has been a while since you have built, and you have done a very nice job. Keep up the good work; I'll be watching your Mitsu and Suby also. Hope my criticism helps you in the future.

Re: Tamiya 350Z
Thanks I do appreciate comments they can only make me better
anyways what type of cloths are you taking about? how do you use them? At what stage? After clear or before? where would you get them? The more comments the better I have already fixed the tailpipe thanks for noticing slipped my mind completely lol, The Mitsu VR4 came with a prepainted body so won't help there but for my next model avoiding the tiny bit of orange peel that did show up would be great!
