I was reading a couple of articles showing stock specs of the 97 GXE and SE. it said that a GXE ran a 15 1/4 mile and a SE ran a 15.4.... and in another article it said the SE runs a 15.2 and the GXE ran a 15.5.... i have a 97 GXE and my bro has a 97 SE. we just recently ran them of the roll and it was pretty much dead even (he was slightley inching on me). then we did it again he launched early but i caught him and was about to take him. and i wanted to know how this was possible. i thought they both had the same enine specs. any feedback would be helpful(thanx).

They both have about the same engine specs, but no one drives the exact same way twice. im not at all saying that im a great racer... this is just an observation. The first run may have been a better reaction time from you or better shifting etc. the second may have been worse.
A lot of the time races are won because of driving, not because of power. i just think you have inconsistant reaction times, but just keep racing and you will get more consistant results. |
