I say the IS would take it. I just got rid of my 96 auto and have driven a IS300 and I think the Lexus would win. I think Brian may know best though. Oh, and in terms of handling, he's definately right.

I'm Supercharged 98 SE and I went head to head with one I'm not sure if he was stock but I think the IS 300 has a higher RPM than the maxima or he was stretching the shit out of his gears to keep up but I wooped his butt 2-3 car lenghts and I slowed down and wait for him when his front reaches my back door i can hear him gear down about 80 and when he gears down i drop mine in 4th and take off again I know he was shock because my car is a sleeper.
