Unhappy sumpthing is actin up!!

when ever i am driving my car, i go to hit the gas going into every gear, there is no power! and when i stop and idle it just idles for like 2 secs then stalls. Then i go to start it and it cranks then i hear a thud. So i try and start it agian and i have to pump the gas pedal to get it running. I have to keep it reved to like 2500 rpms to keep it from stalling!! Would it be my feul? I was thinking even my sparkplugs. little help

Mine also has a tendancy to do that.
I thought i had it fixed but it started acting up again today.
It seem's everytime the weather gets warmer it act's up.
Every now and then i get a code 9 from the ecu.. I'm pretty sure it's in the distributer. The No. 1 cylinder possition sensor, rotor, or the whole dizzy... One of these day's i'll have to take it apart and do some problem solving.

same thing happened on my car, the timing was so far off, after a misinstalled dizzy replacement, id check your timing first, then see if any codes are flashing, on my DX auto, i got code 8 which was a #1 cyl TDC sensor, i believe its a code 9 on the si.

Um actually I was looking for a solution to my problem.

The car has no power for prolly 15secs after its going down the street and then it all kicks in and goes normal. This is only on a hot starts not cold starts.

Ok, i had a friend look at my car and he said its doing that stuff cause its running rich. The problem is that the choke isn't doing what its suppose to. I guess were gonna spray it with some tks or something like that. Anyways I'll let you know whats happens.

Im sure i fixed it!!!:silly2: What i did was, changed alllll my sparks, and my feul filter! My plugs were really carboned up and my filter was plugged. i only drove it for a half hour, but b4 it started doing it after 5- 10, so i hope its ok. It was only a 50 dollar tune up
hope u guys fix ur probs. BTW i think i have the slowest car. haha

Sounds like timing...but i could be wrong...try setting your crank pulley on top dead center and checking your cam timing as well, timing belt could have jumped a tooth or something...
