1964 GTO Resto mod

1964 GTO

Doing this for a co worker for her husband. The white is pearl white with the red top, hood, and trunk painted a Ford color called Red fire pearl. All this was cleared with Dupont clear. The gold stripe is decal. I added the model car garage P/E sheet to spice it up a bit.

Here is the interior. Check out the keys in the dash.

Looks awesome!

I'd maybe burnish that PE grille with a fine sandpaper to bring out the silver/aluminum look though, it looks too gold-ish.

Great job on the seats. They look very "leatherly". Did you give them a wash?

Re: 1964 GTO Resto mod

Wow i realy love the color combination The only thing that realy disturbs me is the golden decal which doesent line up with the second decal right behind the door.. i hope you know what i mean Overal is very nice
p.s are those aftermarket wheels or did you got them from any other kit? I want to have them too on one of my models but dont know where to get them..

That was intentional....I did not want it to line up.

The wheels were given to me by a friend. I think they are from a corvette kit of some sort.

The seats and interior were airbrushed with Acryl semigloss black. Very nice stuff. Thin it with Rubbing alcohol and it works perfect.

Thanks guys... more progress soon!!!!

I guess Dave haven't the needs of comment like that, we all know his superb skills. And to me I have respect also for a less than decent job with the "extreme build" title: may be those modeller will become good like Clay and Dave a day.

I would think your was just an appreciation of Dave's skills.

Anyway the BAD lost is a HUGE shame, I hoped those guys would save those knowledge and those topic in some ways....

Oki it's gone but Dave is here showing his great stuff, a bit less pain. opcorn:

WOw great build the coulr combinatio is perfect. I do agree you need to work on the grille to tone down the gold toa more silvery appearance....but other than that it looks perfect!
