Cool Immobilisers

Hi,
I am doing a project for my motorsport engineering degree and have decided to design a vehicle immobiliser. Preferably this would be of a design using something say, fingerprinting or eye lense coding, yet it does not have to be made. I would appreciate it anyone could direct me to a website, or tell me where i can get the basic circuit design of an immobiliser to help me start off.
Many thanks in adavnce

U-locks don't count, eh? I've always said that if I ever have a big concern about a vehicle disappearing, I'll U-lock it to the driveway.

It sound like you are referring to biometrics. I am currently working on a fingerprint system in which you put your finger in the corner of the window and it scans it. As far as the immobilizer circuitry, Google is God... :smoka:

Would you be interested in helping me get a distinction? <wink>

But seriously though, could anyone help with anything towards it? The idea will not be made, or even taken to any other lebel other than basic paperwork.

Thanks
