wip, almost done sneak peak...Fujimi S13 Silvia, project mild American 240sx

Hey guys,
got a nice new camera with a rather nice macro function for my birthday(gotta love my wife). here are some quick test pics with it and a sneak peak of a short build I'm pretty much finished up with that I did over a weeks time. Its a fujimi s13 Silvia kit with some mods to make it into a mild drifter/mostly daily driver of a us 240sx enthusiast. The exhaust is scratch built, wheels are fujimi advan oni's(not really accurate for oni's) some r33 skyline seats, and tamiya Italian red paint with lots of clear and lots of polish, let me do a little more to it, and take some more pics once I learn all the camera settings and i'll post a finished thread on it.... till then...

the headlights turned out fantastic! aside the heavy paint look, it is near perfect in the paint department. that could EASILY be a show stopper. the ride is right on, black wheels on red is fantastic. oh, and the fact that it is a silvia just makes all the difference in the world! haha

great job, I'd like to see some out door pics so we can see the detail a bit better.

Thanks for the compliments guys....a show stopper it ain't for sure..esp if they turned it over and saw no suspension under it. I had modded the kit suspension all nicely and had it ready to go for a lowered/cambered car and for some reason the chassis wouldn't fit the body right(and it still doesn't) and while trying to assemble it, the window glue got all over the roof(testors clear glue sucks) which I had to re-polish that, plus some paint chipped from the other side on the wheel well, it looks good on the shelf, but not much else..i'll get some work done to it tonight and i'll post more pics in the next few days.
