you'd turn alot more heads and pick up alot mores with a mini, then a veedub, and definitly more then the new civic SI's, the new Si's are soooo ugly!! at a drag though, i think that it would be pretty close between the Cooper and the VR6. but the Si's would be left behind. the new Si's are considerably slower then the older coupes

im gunna agree that the mini will turn heads but there is sumthin bout a veedub that jus makes me go man thats sexy always have like em tho lol. and your right bout the new civic i cant stand their newer cars any of them as for the focus i heard they are alright but then a gain they are Found On the Road Daily so yeah my uncle has the sedan and for sum fuggin reason it needed a new ignition while i rarely hear about that kinda shiz from other companies but ford has brought the looks up to at least close to par.

Not too sure what the specs are compared to Europe but I'll try and compare.

Focus ZX5 (ST170 - Europe 170bhp 2.0 and 0-60 in 7.1)
I’m a sucker for the Focus cuz it’s my daily driver and has a very good chassis. The ST170 is 1 step down from the newly released Focus RS (which is a beast).

Civic Si (Civic 1.6i - Europe 125bhp 1.6 V-Tec and 0-60 in 9.0)
I don’t like the look of this car at all unless it is in Type-R form then it looks the dog bollocks! The 1.6i is a bit slow for the competition though.

Mini (Mini Cooper S 1.6 Supercharged - Europe 164bhp and 0-60 in 7.4)
Very good looking car with good build and handling but far too common over here. Would easily give all of these other cars a run for there money in a straight line or round the twisties!

Golf GTi (Golf GTi 1.8 Turbo - Europe 150bhp or 180bhp and 0-60 in 8.0 and 7.1)
We don’t get a VR6 Gti but a crap V5 2.3 5 Cylinder car. There are actually 3 Gti models, a 2.0 (crap) 1.8T (150bhp – could be better) 1.8T (180bhp – this is what they should have built 1st time round). Both turbo’d Gti’s are nice but I would take the Focus over the rest of these cars any time unless the Civic Type-R was in this catagory.......

Ive gotta go with the VW...the looks are good for a hatchback as in the Mini but it doesnt look as tiny. The Mini just looks to small for most people. Everyone I've seen driving one looks like they are in a clown car. But thats just my opinion. The Civic is definatly a peice of crap and the focus is a big step up for American cars. Also the VW for its quality level. Great fit and finish inside and out. Thats what counts to the "ladies" it feels higher end than the other cars. If not for the Mini being so small and kinda girly that would be the winner for me.

While I wouldn't really fit in any of the cars, the Mini has the BMW name so its the most attractive to me.

considering power comparing the cooper and the gti, i'll take the gti...

even the 1.8t..

sc'd cars are limited somewhat in their boost options, and you run out of room pretty quickly, as opposed to a turbo car... and it's "cheaper" to upgrade a turbo than an s/c... ( i mean replace one with a better one)

the cooper just doesn't cut it for me, but can be made to look really badass.

i'll take the tried and true vw 20v turbo anyday though... the power those things can make is ridiculous, and i like the interior of the dub better than the cooper.

also... both minis have been found in the US, the old as well as the new... the old ones are pretty rare tho...

I picked the GTI. The Civic Si and the ZX5 are just too slow. As for the Mini, it is just too small for my taste.
