Importing of cars.....

Does anyone know how to import a car into the US, and how much the tarrifs/duties are??

No, but I'm sure there are web sites that can tell you about that.

What I can tell you is that if you are planning on attempting this yourself, forget it. For one thing, you must post a bond equal to the value of the car that is only returned once the car is modified to be in compliance with federal crash and emissions laws.

join the army, get posted overseas, buy a car there. the army will foot the bill for the import of 2 personal vehicles. this is what i have been told by a few people. one of them used to owna performance shop here in wisconsin and he had a rhd sti wrx and a nissan sunny. he was in the army until 98...coincedence, maybe.

you can, but its gonna cost a lot of doe. there are several places online that import cars. might wanna consult them to let them bring it here. if your thinking to bring over a primera from Japan, they'll probably laugh at you though since its gonna be a VERY expensive primera. hehe. but its up to you man, if you have the doe and want it that bad, go for it!!!

Try motorex

If you want the # for them try the Skyline forum they know a lot more of this company & + Motorex are well fitted to do the us conversions of skylines or any other vehicle you will want to get your hands on, they are $$$$$$$$$$$ though but they are the pros at it!
