Post Question about importing cars to US...

Hi there, i am pretty new but I'll start out with an question I've been thinking on for pretty long time...

The price for an brand new Diablo 6.0 in US is about $272000 right? What I was wondering is; in Germany the price is about $162000 (brand new) and on a site I read that the shipping to US is about $16000....and that is with papers and all stuff like that....
So to buy an new Diablo 6.0 from Germany and ship it to US cost under $180000. Is it something I am missing here? Becuase it can't be that cheap can it?

Regards,

Nikezon

I will have a pure guess at it for ya....

I think you guys in the USA have tighter emission standards than we do in Europe..

I know my manual refers to differences between U.S. only, Saudi Arabia etc....(there version has a speeding light !!!)

I think the extra cost is in the better cat system and engine management..probably not alot to fit...but shitloads of cash to devlop..

and hell its a lambo and most owners arnt short of cash...(you will be... once you own one of these 200 mph monsters)

Its the worlds largest production car...and therfore has the worlds largest bills to go with it...save Mclaren or F50 maybe..

I would be happy to scan any part of manual you want...
