Question Please help me out, P10ers.

I have a 91 P10 with stock security system. I got it used and I didn't have the user manual. The problem comes when the alam activates. I just cannot inactivate it (it kills my ignition and I can't start the car). Please help me out!!!!!!!!

Thanks.

To de-activate your stock alarm, you have to lock and unlock your driver's side door from the outside. When you lock your doors from the outside, you'll activate your alarm if you try to unlock from the inside (if you had your windows down). To keep everything in line, lock and unlock from the outside.

That's doesn't work, it kills the ignition and I can't start the car. I notice the ABS and Check Engine Light is on. What the heck?

Does your alarm sound when the ignition kill sounds? If your alarm de-activates and then you can't start your car, it's something else. Do you have a AT or MT?

The thing with the ABS and Check Engine light, either it's a malfunction or it's for real. I highly doubt it has anything to do with your alarm.

Pretty sure it is not the brake or engine. After the alam on, I can't stop it. I can only wait until it stop by itself. Then I can't start the car. I tried to disconnect the battery and it didn't work. It is automatic but I don't think it has anything to do with the alam (I don't have keyless entry). I am stuck, help me out.

Have you tried taking out the alarm relay? I have no idea what it would do, but it's worth a shot. Also, have you tried entering the car from the passenger side? Just wondering if it's exclusively the driver's side door.

The reason I asked what kind of drive is because my old AT P10 wouldn't start sometimes because the lever wasn't locked all the way into park. Seeing how your alarm sounds, just throw that idea out the door.

Good Luck.
