Complete-Revell Aston Martin DB4

Finally finished this one, it was finished in '06 but I was trying to figure out my new digital camera before I could take some pics, and today was a nice day so I tried it out. Tamiya Silver Leaf compounded and waxed, rather simple build apart from problems outlined in WIP thread. Comments welcome, thanks for looking. PROGRESS

Re: Conplete-Revell Aston Martin DB4

Nice clean build of a very cool car. I would love something like this on my shelves. I like all the luggage in the trunk too. Nice engine bay, the wires add a lot to it.

Great one.
I'd love to get this kit one day.

Which wheels did you use in the end?

Re: Conplete-Revell Aston Martin DB4

they look like those REALLY wide fujimi 3 piece wire spoke rims. they do look rather nice on there. I'm guessing you had to narrow them down considerably to make them fit. I'll check you progress in a bit, this looks really good.

Very nice and clean. Are those the Fujimi wheels? I always heard horrible things about the kits wheels.

Re: Conplete-Revell Aston Martin DB4

Yes, they are the classic Fujimi "wire wheels" set. The kit wheels were horrible. The wire part looked terrible and the chrome was terrible on them, and they had the old school white plastic insert for the white walls.
