professional shavin'...?

i see tons of posts about how to shave shyt of ur car but im sooo not the do it ur selfer u all r. it just sounds like so much work and risk to cut up ur car and then patch it up. anyways...i was wonderin' how much it would be to shave 2 door handles off and paint and everything accept the poppers..even i can install those...would be?
any idea..
any rough estimate would be appreciated but a pass experience would be great. thx.

well eclipto i have had a bad back expirience on shaving my moldings and i learned my lesson the hard way i killed the side moldings. but hey i guess it is true what you learn by messing up things. now im going to take my care down to a shop called M1 Autosport there going to shave my moldings (the correect way) and trunk for 800. is this a lil too steap of a price?

All depends on where you go and how they do the work and the area you are in. Here, door handles, antenna, moldings (forgetting something im sure) was going to run my friend 3 g's - cause no one here does that kinda work. :o

5k? yea your getting hooked up to his pocket book.. For one if your repainting your car anyway, it doesnt cost much to shave everything down since you kinda gotta strip the car anyway. I got my car painted and all the door jams, trunk lid and under the hood, 4 door handles shaved, body moldings shaved and my trunk shaved for 2200 bucks.. I paid about 300 for the poppers through autoloc.com. so for 2500 I managed to get all that stuff done.. Your suspension well I guess it depends on what your getting of course, but to spend more than 500-700 bucks on suspension is kinda pointless if you ask me, considering I only paid 200 for mine, nothing great but rides smooth and performs the way I want. And that wasn't through a "family friend". I would think a "family friend" would say you pay for the parts and brick a 12 pack and I'll do it for ya at no cahrge other than beer. Now granted with respect to your location labor may be more due the demand, but damn that sounds awful high. If anyone of of you is around or near North Carolina hit me up, and I will take you where I went.. I discovered this guy about 6 months ago and ALL of my fellow car clubbers are swarming in after seeing my finished product. Below is a pic of my car, well kiinda sorta, this weekend I will be taking new pics as we did a facelift on her and she looks hella different and hella tight now. Well good luck in filling up your buddies pocket book, and hope everything works out for you!!

Are you going to get the car repainted as well? If so than it won't cost you hardly nothing to shave the moldings. If your just doing the moldings it will cost more becuase you have to paint the whole door and fender/quarterpanel.. However I will talk to my man and see what he would charge. What kind of car? and what color? Thats the info he needs to know.
