Where do you guys find old kits?

I am having no luck finding several kits I am looking for. They are:
Revell `87 Firebird GTA (1/16 scale), Fujimi Ferrari 355, Lindberg `94 Firehawk (1/20 scale), and believe it or not Revell Pro-Stock Firebird from 1999 with any markings (I saw these in stores just a year ago!).
I dont think any of these kits are that rare, but for some reason, I can`t find them. I tried ebay and several other sites I typically go to with no success. Where do you guys go when you need something unique?

Cool Bid for it.

Ebay is where I filled all the gaps in my collection. Saw kits I didn't know exhisted, and ones I never thought I'd see again. I've never had any problems with transactions either, just keep your reputation clean.:flash:

Fujimi 355 is indeed rare, since it hasn't been allowed to produce for more than 5 years.
If you are willing to spend something like US$100, I can help you find it from Yahoo Japan auction. There is one for sale at a little over 6000 yen, and usually, it goes as high as 10,000 yen.

I found a lot of old kits by simply doing web searches (web and news groups).
For example a web search for "Revell Firebird GTA 16" returns some 30 hits, some may be exactly
what you're looking for. This way is often cheaper
than trying to win a bid-war on eBay

Good Luck,
-- Eric.

Okay, I am still having no luck whatsoever. It`s frustrating because these kits aren`t very sought after and should be everywhere! Anyone else with any ideas?

No idea, I'm lucky because my shop carries a bunch of 80s Fujimi kits that nobody buys (except me). I was just there and saw they had both version of the Nissan MID-4, two Koenig tuner Ferraris, a 911 turbo, a R33 GTS-T, and various other goodies, all for cheap!

On the other hand, their Revell section is almost all new. Must have quick turnover. Go figure..

Thanks modelfan. For some reason I was having trouble finding stuff on the model roundup site, but the Summit Firebird is ordered as well as the `41 Willys street rod which looked interesting.
Now, if i could just get the GTA!!!
