just bought another 4 door :)

we went down to the junkyard to pull some 4 door rear door handles to stick in the Si (no key hole). while we were there some guy rolled up in his 89 4 door and sold it to the junkyard for $300. we asked the owner of the yard if would sell it and he said $500. the exterior is mint and it's 5 speed. sorry hoopty whoop, you gotta go. going to pull the a6 out of it and sell it.

i'm pretty excited about this new 4 door. it's got some engine problem but it starts up and drives (guy drove it 20 miles to the junkyard). it will eventually get the a6.

:jump:

I hate you, I hate you, I hate you! lol It was hard enough for me to find ANY 4th gen civic for sale here, let alone have one fall into my lap for $500. You have to be the luckiest person alive.

Does this one have decent paint?

Glad the sedans are taking over your house. LOL, you should keep em both.

What trim level is this one? DX, LX, EX?

Anyhow, if the keyless in the hoopty whoop isnt reserved for the new 4dr, lemme get it.

mightytexn: I found pleanty of fourth gens here, they were all shit though, then I found my 4dr.

it is actually dent free. kinda hard to tell because the sun already went down. the roof and part of the hood are sun faded.

mightytexn, i used to drive 305 miles up to portland for cars. i just recently learned if you keep your eyes open, you can find them. the ones i find are high miles and need engines.

travis...when jer pulled the handles off the 4 door at the yard he noticed some differences. let us figure out what all needs to be done...make sure it's worth doing. don't worry, i won't take them out the car for anyone but you

LOL, and if she threw gregs rims on the hoopty whoop, she wouldnt know which sedan is which:hehehe:

By the way ami, before you get rid of the hoopty, swap over the center filler piece, that way you can swap over the LX emblem from the hoopty and nobody will ever know

What is the condition of the two cars, one vs the other? The LX (hoopty)s interior seemed pretty tore up.

89 DX (new 4dr)
89 SI (with 90 fenders) D16Y8
90 Integra RS (cow)
68 VW (the year may be wrong, I aint sure)

those sedans are pretty popular, I went to the wreckers and the only thing missing from this maroon LX was the dizzy and headlights, everything else was there...ami if you need me to look for any parts let me know
