Just bought another CRX, having issues...
I just bought another CRX, this is my 5th one. I love these cars! I just got an 88 crx dx automatic. it has a d15b2 block and a P08-5 head which I guess is from a d16z6. Supposedly has a stage one cam in it. It has an adjustable cam gear and DC Sport headers. It needs a throttlebody and a fuel line from filter to rail and cap. The ecu that is in it is a ps9. Is this ecu going to work for the VTEC and also how do I hook up the VTEC to the ecu? It has already been converted to MPFI. Thanks for the help.

Re: Just bought another CRX, having issues...
Congrates on the new car, i just bought a 91 crx si myself.
ps9 come obd0 in 1988-1991 Honda Civic 4-door EX Automatic non vtec, so no, this ecu wont activate your vtec. Options: Buy rpm activated switch and 4-prong relay, Wire up your rmp switch to activate the relay which will click and activate your vtec. Or. Buy p28 ecu, and obd0 to obd1 converstion harness. Then run your two wires from your ecu to your vtec silinoid and oil pressure sensor |

or you could get the ps9 chipped and run a 1 wire vtec setup using the the lockup solenoid
