Just bought another 4Dr - Project Car

I just happened to ask a friend of mine that has 3 4drs if he wanted to get rid of any of them. To my suprise he said sure - for $50 cause that's how much it would cost him to get it towed to the junkyard. I said I'll do it cause I've wanted another 4Dr as a project car. The car is a 88 Civic 4Dr LX, blue - he's pulled some parts off of it, but nothing major. He's got a ZC Block (no head) and an auto tranny in there. I'm going to swap it to manual. The interior is pretty good, but the dashboard is messed up. I'm toying with the idea of fiberglassing the whole interior anyway. The tail lights are missing (no biggy) and there are some dents and the fenders aren't in good condition. Not bad for $50. My dad is supposed to be picking it up in Seattle today, then bringing it back to his place - then I just have to figure out how to get it from there to Boise then I can start stripping it and rebuilding. I'm going to take tons of pictures of the progress I'm making. I'll be getting pictures of it next Sunday and post them.

I'm going to turn it into a convertible just for the hell of it - going to make it pretty close to the same as my other car. Kinda like this -

I dont know about the whole convertible thing, not really my taste, but I'm sure youll do a great job, youre car really shows how much time and effort you put into it

I just decided to get back into the civics, the other day. Picked up a '88 lx for $100, and it even runs pretty good, but smokes like hell. I'm trying to get my CRX back to see if all the parts and engine will swap over, if not, looking at dropping in a ZC and making it a cheap daily driver.

Damn, I wish I could just go buy a cheap crx or civic that doesnt work for $50. I really need the ignition switch, and a few other items for my CRX. Its killing me when i'm at school while the ebay auctions end!!! I hate it!

I'm waiting for my mom to email some pictures of it. It's at there place - my dad picked it up in Seattle for me with his 5th wheel flat bed trailer. I'm just waiting for him to make a trip down here so I can put it in my garage and start making out a plan of attack on it. I'm anxious!!!
