Talking Grand Sport....only in America would you see this!

Now this is the definition of a modern Yank Tank.

Take an AMT Chevy Tahoe kit, and a Monogram '96 Corvette Grand Sport kit, send 'em to Alabama for some incestuous sibling lovin' and this is what you get...

Mods include adding Corvette rims, some serious lowering, removal of running boards, adding some ground effects and making a rolled rear pan. Paint scheme mimicks the Grand Sport. Only where gas is a bit over a dollar a gallon do you get such obnoxiously big SUV's. At least while this one's sucking the wells dry it can make it around a corner or two, whilst loaded with 5 of your best friends, a couple kegs and a week's worth of groceries in the back...

I cheated. It's a curbside, no engine
I want to do a "Lightning" or "Harley Edition" Expedition someday. They're far too boring stock...

Thanks for the comments everyone-it was a really fun model to build and it's quite an attention getter...just like the 'Vettes.
