Help me open her up

hey all~ I would say i am HIGHLY addicted to racing and driving a lot

faster than i should "when appropriate", i.e; open road empty street etc.

And like any one interested in racing you need more power. So i am

getting a 4:2:1 header, cold air intake ,and Velocity Racing

Tunable Exhaust Muffer, for now, "set me back a bit " . So all i need to do now is remove the bottle

neck from my cars 115 mph top speed which is all thanks to the

infamous GOVNER CHIP. I am looking for an alternative to getting a

new one unless i can get a fairly inexpensive one. so if anyone has an

knowledge you can pass on, you'd be much appreciated.

there is no cheap way to get rid of the governor. you have to send in your old ecu to be reprogrammed, or buy a completely new one. both of those options are not worth it, especially on a slightly modded accord. just live with the governor, especially considering how many times in your cars life you will actually have enough time and road to hit 115.

Unless you are going down hill with a 30mph tail wind or have 250+HP the chip is not worth the money.... you may be able to hit the governor quick but after about 120 wind is gonna kill ya!!! with out power to make it happen.... I don't rain to rain on your party but facts are facts...
