Stereo Wire Harness
Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for the stereo in a 91 DX Hatch? Trying to put a new stereo in, and since the people who jacked my radio ripped the wiring harness out, I have no idea what wire is what.

I dont have one, but I was in the same situation as you. If you have a voltometer, you can pretty much figure it all out in about 5 minutes.

Alright, well scratch that idea. Needed to know that cause I was planning on putting a stock 97 Prelude cd player in my car, but forgot that stock radios take different harnesses than aftermarket radios. So does anyone have a stock stereo harness laying around?

hey i am going home tomorrow and i got the wiring diagram at home so ill post it up tomorrow sometime. the pervious owner of my car cut the connector thingy out when they sold the car so i went to walmart and bought one of those stero harness thingys they have which is the same as the stock connector. idk if the connection will be the same for the civic to prelude cause i know the 88-91 and 92-95 have different color wires for some things but i dont remember if they were in the same spot or not.
let me know if you have trouble understanding this cause i do |

Yea, I would go to a junk yard and do that, but the only junk yard I know right now, the only civic they have don't have it.
I got a connector from wal-mart, but it is the opposite connector that I need. I need a male connector for it, and the only ones you can buy is female. If I was installing an aftermarket radio, I would have no problem, just find out what wire is what.

go to a place that sells car stereos and get a reverse harnes... it will make your life SO much easier... get a reverse harness then a normal harness and it'll be easy. trust me. i've installed on cars where the stereo was jacked... you'll fucking thank yourself later.
