cut stereo wiring harness on 99 cavalier

I just bought a 99 cavileir and the previous owner cut the factory wiring harness for the stereo. I am trying to put in a kenwood head unit and cant find the memory wire. I also heard that there is some controls to do wit the transmission to control the volume at various speeds. I would like that to work to if i can. any info would be great

dude, that is going to be some work.

My buddy has an 96 mustang and he had to go to the dealer and actually get the wire harness for like 30$ and then he tried to put it in by color, but it still didnt work, he was shorting out and blowing fuses. So he went back and told them and they told him he has to buy the diagram to show what wire hooked up to what wire. that costed an extra 20$. I dont nkow if you need to do all of that for chevy's(considering fords are gay) but i'd check before anything.
