ECU Chips.

Okay, maybe I have been gone, and have not seen any topics on this. But, are these ecu chips we all see on ebay any good? Here are some links for what I am talking about:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...858357559&rd=1
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...857888988&rd=1
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...858484426&rd=1

I mean, they all sound reasonable right? I know I had a friend who could program his own chips, I wish I knew where he lived now.

Anyways, I guess the reason I ask, is I have $80 stuck in PayPal. So I am looking for a little something to test out. So I was just wondering if anyone has tried them, etc.

Ok here is what I know so far.. I recently got the chance to test a ecu out of a 88-89 acura integra. I got better preformance out of it. Went from 112hp to 121hp in my stock 89 si . (I have a intake tube and a 2/1/2 in. cat back with a flowmaster) but other than that its stock. I have tried to find one of these but no luck at least, so i bought a ecu from "ihaveeverything" on ebay hmm but there is one thing this one has that mine does not it is the 28 pin onkio chip located in the right hand corner I found out that about 10% of the US ecu came with this 28 pin chip, but all most all JDMs came with them (the one i got was JDM). It was suppose to come with a preformance chip hmm it did but it only gave me 2 hp to put me at 114hp and theres no rev limit. So Im in the process of gettin another chip to put into it. This is suppose to give me 15-20 hp gain from what the seller said(not IHAVEEVERYTHING) , but we'll see thats what IHAVEEVERTHING said. So dont trust him or them....unless ya need a Jdm ecu to start with. If you have a stock ecu out of a canada or us car it is 90% sure you will not be able to use any of the chips you see on e-bay.. I will post a new thead when i get this new chip and test it should be next thursday or friday.
