Boost Controllers

Here's the question, which do you like better/think works better.

Blitz SBC-id or GReddy PRofec A?

Also what do you think about Fuel computers? What are your pics?

I don't know the Blitz, but if you had said the Greddy Profec B I definitely would have said that. From what I hear, the Profec A is a real bitch to set up. Why specifically do you ask about the Profec A, and not B?

No reason in particular, just making a list for the future and of course one always starts at the top of the line and then decides what they can afford So you like the Profec B? Any reaso in particular?

Fuel Computer are shit. They just intercept the airflow meters reading to foul the computer in running leaner.

Boost Controlers..You can go past the Apexi AVRC.

Best option for a skyline is apexi power fc or power fc pro with the boost controler feature>

A couple of months ago SCC had an excellent article on controlers. I will try to look it up. There was one or two, that were miles ahead of the rest. Some where pretty bad.

GReddy Prolific A: not very good, intial spike will over boost.

GReddy Prolific B: Soild, very good.

Blitz SBC i-D: Another good one, but the B is a little better.

Apexi AVC-R: another pretty good one.

HKS EVC EZ: worthless

Ball Valve: works just like the HKS, and the prolific A

For the money and installation The winner should be GReddy Pro B, it comes on boost quicker, and will hold solid where it is set.

Oh, that info is out of the July issue of SCC. I was just looking at the charts. I was not looking at the controler functions.

Ive always had good things to hear about the Profec B. For simplicity and ease of use you cant go wrong. The others might have more functions (maybe not) but i would stick witht the B

What SkylineUSA said (altho' he said a bit more than I could have )

I know I'm going for a Profec B when I get an EBC. Unfortunately, have other things which should come first - like finishing the exhaust (sooooooooon ) and intercooler, and maybe a fuel pressure reg. or something.

Good info Sky. Does any one happen to know if on the B you can have two different maps?

You mean a high and low setting? Yes the B does have it, you just push a button. First you go drive your car in 2nd to 3rd and adjust the boost with the low knob and rinse repeat for the high. Really simple and effective.

The reason I'm wondering is because there is an Aquamist Water injection system on the wish list
