Revell Ferrari 308

Just bought this kit and want to inform you that it comes completely without any kind of engine.
On the box it says, this kit has a separate bonnet, but thats not true. The mesh on the engine cover is separate, but thats all.
I am very disappointed paying 20 Euros for such a bad kit.

Re: Revell Ferrari 308

We had a little discussion on the kit a while ago; you must have missed it.

Good thing is that it's one of the better proportioned 308 kit, and it's readily available. If you want engine details, you might want to pick up the Revell USA's Magnum P.I. GTS kit. It's about $10-15 on eBay.

20 Euro does sound a bit too high for a curbside kit, but it's becoming more and more like that these days. It's not made in China, is it?

Kits prices have risen in the last month, I don't know why.
The ordinary price lets say half a year ago was 16,50 € ad it was for several years.
I now have seen kits prices varying from 20-23€ and I really do not like that

I´m quite sure this is because of the taxes for next year, when there will be 19% instead of 16% as it is now in Germany.
Next year you will see advertisement like "taxes increase, our prices not" or something stupid like that everywhere..

Thanks for the little review. I really hoped they would release the old Revell kit with engine.

Well, I had a closer look now, kit looks quite clean, and on the Chassis it says: Monogram.
So I think it might be a chance that this might be an old Monogram kit, but don't ask me what conclusions I made, I don't know anmore, too complicated

Re: Revell Ferrari 308

if I'm not mistaken, the kit you are referring to (sans engine) was re-released by monogram in the late 80's under the Young Builders program. and it was a very dead on kit as far as the body and interior, but the chassis, and lack of engine really put me off.
