Trannie Swap? HELP PLEASE
I want to change out my A/T trannie so a 5 speed. Most people say just sell your car and get the one you want. But i have put alor of work into my car lately and i dont wanna have to start over. So if anyone who has done or know someone who has can fill me in on the detail i would really appreciate it. How much is it gonna cost? What are all the parts i need to order? And how is the car running afterwards?

I honestly don't know all the details of a A/T to manual swap, but I do know that the difference between the two types of cars is a lot more than just the transmission and shifter. They have different ECU's, different guages, different sensors, so to make one compatible with the other requires some tweaking. I am sure it can be done, but I know it is a very complex procedure. My advice would be like most people, return your car to stock, keep your aftermarket stuff and put it on a new car, not to mention you'll pick up a little extra cash from stepping down from an auto.
