What cars don't look stupid with Aoshima 19" TE37s?

So far everything I've got looks just silly with my Aoshima TE37s - they're too big, look wrong in the wheelarches and require skyscraper rideheight on everything I've tried.

Ideas of a good car to chuck them on?

hmm one car I know of they look nice on is the Revell Buick Regal Grand National kit, but your right its hard to find just the right car to use em on. I've felt they look better suited to trucks than cars in some cases.

I'm curious what you've been trying to put them on?

I have a set on my Tamiya 350z right now and they look perfect. I used to have the Fujimi versions, but the Aoshimas look so much better.

Cars with big wheel openings, large fender arches look great with them. Cars like the 350Z, Supra, Mustang GT, Chrysler 300C. Smaller cars usually look better w/18's. And the wheel has to be centered properly or the ride height adjusted to make any wheel look right on a particular model.

I reckon a Supra may be the go - I'm guessing Tamiya 1/24 not Aoshima 1/25 though?

Correct! A lot of 18's are dwarfed inside the Tamiya Supra wheel openings.

I dummied my bronze te37's on a black Ford Sierra rs500, and it looks great, but the ride height is much like that of an H2.

to further this thread, is there a 17 inch TE37 available?

Fujimi makes one. It has the typical fat/thick Fujimi tires to go with it though.. they also make an 18" version too.
