I want to splice something again into my 12V power outlet wire and I'm wondering if its gonna get overloaded. So far I have an RPM switch and a single LED running off it. Now I want to put another single LED and maybe my indiglo gauges. Will this be too much? Is it just the indiglos that might be too much? thanks.

Depends on the fuse rating from the +12 leg u are coming off of. If its just strait from the battery it should work.:flash:

No its not, its literally from the wire in the back of the power outlet.

You're typical LED draws about .02 Amps (20mA) which is like nothing... I wouldn't really worry about it.

What about the indiglos?

well, it should say on the box how much power they draw, but even if it doesn't, it should be fine, think about it this way, cell phones, pagers and watches have indiglo, if a watch battery can handle indiglo, there should be no problem for a car, plus indiglo's probably draw the same or even less power than the stock lighting

if ur really worried about ur power connections i would get some supplys together and create a new power distribution system 4 all ur gadgets. Like run a new power wire from ur batt. to a fused distribution block and run 1 lead to ur LED's & 1 to ur indiglos & so on, sorta like ur own personal fuse panel.

that's what I did in the rex ..... I put it on a panel behind the glove box, then cut the back of the glovebox out. There are three X 6 place fuse blocks (one for const +12V, switched +12V, and lights) and a barrier strip for the gnd wires. The 12 Sw & the lights use a regualr bosch style relay, so the draw on the cars interior electronics is very minimal.
