'98 Mustang GT vs. 2K3 6sp.

I pulled on a '98 Mustang GT last night with my bone stock 2K3 SE 6 sp, wondering if any others have had similar results...i don't know if he was driving a 5sp or a slushbox. in any case, he was pissed...hehe!

Careful of the 2k3 Cobra's though, those have some serious power, 390hp and 390ftp of torque with a stock 1/4 mile of 13.3, 0-60 in 4.3, and a skidpad rate of .9Gs. I love my Max to death but you gotta admit those numbers are impressive.

My pics are on the way, just need to find the digi. And edho, are you sure about that 0-60 for a Cobra, that seems awfully fast compared to the 1/4 time. :bandit:

Those numbers were from a test drive article in a magazine. The numbers on websites are sooooo much faster though.

Saleens are too d@mn flashy, i would much rather have a Cobra that looks somewhat like a base Stang, so when some unsuspecting moron in hs Boxster pulls up next to you, he'll be breathing smoke and wondering what went wrong

Also there is a big price gap between a Saleen and a Cobra, i think its like $10,000. With 10k you can make that Cobra beefier than a Saleen or Z06

damn it, i said I wold stop talking *smack*

i don't know. the suspension on a saleen is a lot more impressive than a cobra/R. plus, there are so many different performance packages for the saleen. there's the supercharged 281 cu. in. (s281), then there is the s351 with the 351 cu. in. (optional supercharger). then there are different rim packages and you can get them almost slammed to the ground. they also made an explorer saleen that was supercharged for a couple of years.

and i don't think they're all that flashy. it just has the saleen emblem on the side rocker panel and quarterpanel.

I'm sorry, am I lost? Did I accidently go into the mustang forum? Just kidding. I'll tell you what, I raced an '02 mustang GT 5speed stock and my '00 max is AUTO, with all the mods listed in my sig minus the exhaust. We raced for 1/4 and I got the jump on him and let for about the first 300 feet, but once he hit 3rd gear, he started to gradually pull away from me, and he beat me by about 3 carlengths which is probably equal to about 1/3 of a second. So it is no surprise that you beat a slower-than-the-one-I-raced '98 mustang GT with a faster-maxima-than-the-one-I-have '03 maxima.
