Fuel filter on '98 Mustang V6

Have a '98 Mustang V6 with 80,000 miles which has gotten very sluggish lately. Did a tune-up and changed air filter but didn't help that much. Tried to change fuel filter, but can't get fittings apart. I'm used to fittings with nuts, but these are some weird compression fittings. How do I get them apart?

Simple Solution Go Down To Your Local Parts Store And Pick Up Either
A) A Plastic Fuel Line Disconnect Tool For About $0.99
B) A Metal Multiple Size Tool For Around $3.99

You Must Use One Os These Tools And Then The Swap Is A Breeze.
