Tamiya Masking Tape prob.

When i put it onto my kits surface then take it off i find its left a residue behind. Does it usually do that or is it because my paint is not properly cured.

Sounds like the paint is not cured....how long are you waiting after spraying?
You should wait at least a week for the paint to harded before masking
