Read the thread from the link I posted. The guy who did it explains why he did it.

That's a damned shame!!! I stumbled onto this about an hour ago for the first time. I echo the sentiments of the author, about how frustrating it is that in some respects, Honda just doesn't get it. I wish they would take a cue from VW, stick small 6's and turbo 4's into cars roughly the same size as the Civic (i.e. Jetta, Golf, GTI, Beetle). I wish they would try Nissan's approach, and build turbo inline 6 powerhouses like the Skylines. Or even staying all motor, follow along with BMW's lead, and put some 3 liter engines with useable torque into tiny coupes. It just doesn't seem to be "the Honda way" to do so. And damn does it frustrate me. The fact that they are sending us an Accord Type R from Europe, packaged as an Acura with a 190 or 200-hp K series 4 from an RSX further shows me that they just don't hear what the American market place wants. That car is begging for a small 6. I give them lots of credit for making the Accord V6 240-hp this year, but they need to be doing more of that.

Flat out, a 360-hp S2000, as light-weight as envisioned in the article, for $54K, would blow anything else in that range out of the water. Maybe even for another $10K. In some senses, it is such a friggin tragedy

However, I do wonder where other pages with similar information have arisen from:
