Question which year to get?

I am going to be buying my mustang gt soon and was wondering what year I should get. I want to get between the years of 94-98. I have heard that the 96-98 have there problems while the 94-95 (5.0) are much stronger. which should i get and why? any particular year i should stay away from? thanks alot, this will help so much.

I would recomend a 94/95 GT. They have the same Hp ratings as the 96-98, but they have better torque. There are also many times the number of aftermarket parts for the 5.0 at cheaper prices then for the 4.6. But, whatever you get stay AWAY from the autos.

Yep, I totally agree. Make sure you also change out that computer as well. Other than that, have fun.

thanks guys, so I should go with the 94 or 95 gt? of coarse i am gettin a 5-speed!!!!! i would never by a sports car with an auto .What computer should i replace the stock one with and where can i find it (preferably online)? and i also have one more question. When i buy my baby i am going to be doing alot of stuff to it and i was thinking about the exhaust. I want the loudest possible exhaust i can put on, would that be straight pipes? or could i get a loud flowmaster exhaust kit that would sound the same? thanks

They make all kinds of kits and computer swaps stuff, just go with a custom burned chip AFTER you finish puting mods on. Are get one of the tuners the let you go in and reset various componets. As far as exhaust, go with a off-road h-pipe and maybe a two chamber flowmaster. It would be to loud for me.

Loud exhaust, I had 2 chamber flows with no cats and at 2k rpms the drone SUCKED. I will never use a chambered muffler. I went with Borlas, nice and quite(compared to the flows) and WOT they scream. Too loud will get you every cop in the county looking at you.
