preludes, are mad fast yo!!! not to mention i heard it is really really really hard to pull a good time out of the spec v, some guys are running near a second slower than the magazine times.

nah, i would have to disagree with u, we got people running 15.1-15.5 on a avg stock, and the prelude has the same 1/4 times, magazines claimed the spec v and preludes have 15.5 1/4 mile times, but other spec v and lude driver have faster times than that,

i would have to say this is a drivers race, both cars are great cars

btw....i raced against my cousin's VTEC prelude and smoked him, i was ahead start to finish, but i think i'm a better driver than he is

MIstake..........lol...........it was a Vz-R Luciano, Don't think you guys got that ....right??? It similar to the Se-R, it's a japanese car 200Hp or so, and it's much lighter than a prelude.

Just don't want any SE-R owners ready to kill me....I do apolagize

later Guys:ylsuper

P.S: Well it's the same NISSAN....

did i not say it would be a driver's race, yes i did guy. but from the majority of my reading, it is much harder to get a good run out of a spec-v than a prelude. i ran a 16.0 in my prelude on the 18's, which was at a very high elevation, 3800 ft. with the altitude correction, that is a 15.3. that is with extremely heavy 18's on it, not to mention i weigh 255lbs. don't believe what you read in magazines. i test drove a spec v, it was slow, too much shifting too, i'll keep my prelude

you have to consider the power to weight of both cars, which i have to say the spec v has the advantage. the spec v's are fairly quick cars, i don't take them little 4 door sedans for granted. in the 1/4 mile i would have to say 9 times out of 10 it's gonna be a driver's race between these two, with the advantage to the prelude all things being equal. you'll realize the more powerful the prelude is at the end of the race. it's how well, or poor for that matter, your launch is that will determine the result.

however, on ANY and ALL road courses (or anything with a turn in it), spec-v people, save yourself the gas and tires and don't even bother. not saying the spec v is a bad handling car coz it ain't. but not in the same league as the prelude.

i agree with del about everything,

i dunno about the twisties though, spec v's are also pretty up there, not as good as an mazda mp3, type sh are great handlers also, i don't kno about the numbers, i think the SH has the advantage on the Spec V on this, not by that much, i think, spec v's are kinda sloppy on the slalom, but fast, the SH is smooth on the slalom, and it's also fast

correct me if i'm wrong on this, but no hating or flaming

anywayz, both are great cars, it would be hard to choose between the two, it'll be up to personal preference

thanx prelude peeps for all ur feedback, i just want to get an opinion from a different side...latez

The SE-R will marginally beat a prelude in a drag race. The power and weight ratios say it all, not to mention the SE-R has mad torque (something the 'lude lacks).

I have no doubt the 'lude would win on a track or autox.

But when it comes to track, nissan has the 240sx. :finger:

i honestly think the spec V can out handle the stype SH. cuase that active torque spliting diff actually harms performance and won't allow the car to run smooth. even though the spec V torque steers like a mofo. i still think that its a overal better handling car. look at all the test. the spec V was the second best. the only car that out did it was a WRX. even though the Spec went though it really sloppy it posted up some of the fastest times. if it was a ordinary prelude then i think it would be more fair. adn anyways. the Spec V should be able to put more power down on the ground during aceleration, braking and cornering simply beucase of the fact that its got a limited slip.
