What should I do to my car now
I just bought a 96 integ and I am going to put Konig blatant rims on it, an AEM cool air intake, and a cat back exhaust system including new headers. I don't know exactly what the best option to do is from there to increase performance. I didn't know if I wanted to fork over the money for a turbo, or if I should try new pulleys, or try to find a supercharger for my car which would be almost impossible, but I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions, because it would be extremely helpful.
Thanks |

what model is it? if it's an LS I'd say go with the turbo the ls with a nice turbo kit on it go together real nice. If you want to stay NA then try changing cams, pulleys, manifolds those types of things. It comes down to how do you wanna spend and what do you want outta the car?

if you're going to get a turbo, don't waste your money on the intake and headers. they will have to go once the turbo is put in.

Just a warning,
I spoke with a mechanic a couple of days ago and he told me that adding and intake alone produces nothing more but a lot of gas waste. I was told that in order for an intake to be effective I need a complete exhaust system (headers + exhaust). The first thing you should add are headers, better power/$ ratio. But that's just me I might be wrong. |

The B18C's are one of the loudest engines ever mass-produced, so they had to cut corners SOMEwhere to keep it within noise ordinance limits Lucky for us it makes for a cheap and effective upgrade.Granted, once you've got a good intake on an Integra, you will now be able to see increased performance from adding better exhaust. But if you do the exhaust first, you won't see much (if any) improvement until you do the intake as well. |

wtf
first of all when did integras become v8's lol. We only have one header on a car, not headers. Second supercharger kits rob hp to gain hp so thats pointless. Turbos are cool but dont waste money on intake and all that shit, its pointless.

the power of the car can be measured by the amount of air you can push through it.. there is nothing wrong with just an intake.. they are very effective on a gsr, i had a 95, and i got 7hp out of a new intake, but replacing the whole air system would produce the best power obvisouly.. but lest we forget, that in replacing the i/h/e, we should really change out the intake manifold, and the throttle body..
and hell while your there.. get a nice light flywheel.. then your cams, and pulleys, and blah blah.. and of course lose some weight.. |

And if sixstring did want to keep his car all motor an "intake and all that shit" would be extremely beneficial. (When u say "shit" im assuming your referring to the pulleys and cat-back exhaust)
