Mustang vs Cutlass

Hello, I was just wanting to get everyone's opinion on this one. Who would win in a drag race: a 2000 Mustang (v6 200hp 3.8L) or a 1971 cutlass suprem with a 350 engine (5.7L). The only reason why I have been told that the Mustang owuld win was because of the cutlass's weight disadvantage. Thanks.

I am gunna go with the Olds Cutlass...i have always been a GM man---and those 5.7s have some serious power........especially that cutlass--that is a sweet year--and i know they have power--i changed a motor in one about 2 yrs ago......plus i hate mustangs with V6's

Definently the Cutlass, if it's in good condition. In my '90 Cutlass Supreme I have beaten a 1999 Mustang. And I've only got a 3.1L engine. Of course now that it's getting older and starting to have problems there's no way I can even beat a stupid older model Grand Prix SE! But if the Cutlass is in good condition then it'll wipe the ground with the Mustang. But that's just like my opinion man.

Re: Mustang vs Cutlass

I have a 70 Cutlass Supreme with a 350 that eats newer Mustangs with V8's. And it does look nice doing it too.

Re: Mustang vs Cutlass

you just can't beat the size. the engine is just a monster in the cutlass. throw a turbo on that mustang, then it will win.
