Hooking Up A Tach
Well i got a tach to day since my DX doesn't have one and i was just wondering how to hook it up. I need the negetive side of the distributor to get the rpm's, and a wire that only turns on when the car is in the "ON" position. I need another wire for the light in it also. So if anyone know what i can tap into let me know. Thanks.

When I put my monster tach in I used the power line to my head unit. To light it up i used the line i have running to my foglights.

I attached the tach to the cover over my guage cluster, i ran the wires down inside the dash to the fuse box for power and illum. and the rpm i attached directly to the connector on the back of the cluster that would normaly feed the tach on an si.It's the left side connector like 2nd wire from the left, i think it was a blue wire. Check your haynes manual it should tell you which wire.
hope this helps.....gunnmen01
