GSR burnout issue
Hi i own a 99 gsr and the other day i was doin a burnout. I pulled up the ebrake and left a black strip a good 30 to 40 feet. But the problem was that i had only left one strip not two. I had it at about 6000rpm throughout the burn. I can't quite understand why it doesn't leave two.

well the way I understand it, one wheel turns fwd and the other one turns back, so you will only leave one mark on the road unless you have a type r or an lsd in your gsr trany. the diferential in your trany it will only hook up one wheel. thats the best I can explain it. if anybody else wants to give it a try, please go ahead. regards stefan525

in addition, when your engine puts the power to your tranny, whatever wheel slips first is the wheel that gets the power. so if you right side slips, then all the power goes to the right wheel
a 2 wheel burnout in a non lsd car happens once in a blue moon. i would advise getting a lsd if you plan on making any serious power out of your car, get a quaife, they are the best |

what about the phantom grip lsd. Also how much would it cost for this little upgrade to be installed.

It is possible to do a clean 2-wheel burnout on a GS-R without an LSD, but you have to have your steering perfectly balanced throughout the burnout (harder to do than it sounds!)... I've done it once or twice, but not often at all. Going with a good LSD makes a ton of difference on putting your power to the ground.

Speaking of burnouts and all this type of shit, does anyone know what a integra type-r's 1/4 mile time is?

Ive seen and heard of 14.5's stock and maybe even 14.4's when the car is broken in but it depends on the driver i guess....

14.4, thats kind of slow isnt it? I know people with modded gsr's that run lower 14's than that

Well its fast considering its a stock 4 cyl car, with still quite a bit of room to mod it up, its basically can make a good match for a 95 z-28 and stuff they run like mid to low 14's i was only 2 car lengths off a 97 z-28 those runs like 14-14.1 so thats pretty impressive, ive seen just tires on stock type r's doing a 14.2, it all depends on how you drive them....its a hard car to drive sorta because of the limited slip diff, i think im doing like low 14's now maybe but i wanna gtech it or something to get an idea of what im doing...i was surprised i kept up to that camaro and i was catching up in top end but we didn't even race in a quarter mile...it was shorter than that for sure...
