Iridium spark plugs.

I just ordered four of these today from NGK to replace these crappy Botch platinum plugs. I hear that Iridium spark plugs last a lot longer and give a better spark. Have any of you guys heard of them or used them? I know that NGK makes good spark plugs, anything is better than the ones I have. I also trust the guy at XTR, my performance shop, I am just curious.
