i changed the 92 transsport tcc solenoid

i spent about 4 hours. including two breaks.

first step, lift front part of the van and use a stand to support it stablly. take off front left wheel. there is a plaster cover fixed by two screws. take it off easily. then, you can see the side cover of transmission.

remember, you have to buy a gasket if you wanna change it by yourself. once you open the side cover, the old gasket has to be cut off.

the side cover has about 11 screws around, only 2 of them are in very tight space, but you still can take it off by using normal wrench. I could not take the side cover fully off because there is a solid metal beam, so I changed the solenoid side by side.

once you open the side cover, you can see the solenoid. if you buy a new one, you know how it looks like and you know which part you are going to replace. because, the space was very tight, and the van wasn't fully lift up, the upper connector wasn't taken off easily. be patient, you can unplug the old and plug the new one on.

after you done that, you will start laughing. . finnal job, clean up the old gasket along the cover, put the new gasket on, screw it, you done. but, remember, when you open the side cover there was some, not too much, transmission fluid leaked out. after you done, refill some. that's it. one thing i have to mention, when you clean the old gasket, be very careful to avoid the
fragment left in the container. if the under body of your van is durty, clean up around the operating area.

sorry, i don't know how to post picture, so if you wanna some, give me your email address, i will send to you.

by the way, thank you everybody who help me to figure out the problem. now, it runs very good. never stop on middle of street again.
