8200 is where the rev limiter kicks in

Let me put it this way - I went racing last weekend, and I (as much as possible) kept it in the VTEC band almost the whole track... shifting at 8000 most times.

my 89 redlines at 6750 on the tach... power technically drops off at 6400 on every dyno sheet i've seen, but my car pulls strong to 7k.. rev limiter is 7300 or so...
