Other than 16' SSR Competitions ( 11.2 lbs ), does anyone know of some really light rims? ( preferably forged, not cast )

for something with a more decent price you should look at rota slipstream 11. lbs for 15' 13. lbs for 16'
but I have no clue about forged or cast...whats the diff? |

Comparing steel to wood, cast is like chopping down a tree and fashioning the rim by bending and manipulating the wood. Forged is like growing the rim in the form that you want it. Steel is made up of crystals and they flow like the grain in a piece of wood. If you interupt the grain by cutting, the steel will not be as strong. Forged rims can be made much stronger using less material, thus making them lighter.
Thanks for all the ideas everyone |
