Does a 1990 R32 Skyline GT-R (not V-spec) have the twin turbo engine?

Just wondering, thank you!

Yup, all R32-R34 GTRs have the RB26DETT engine, which stands for Race Bread 2.6l Dual overhead cam fuEl injected Twin Turbo.

The only big difference between the generations engine is the R33 got ceramic turbs, the R34 got ceramics with ball bearings (R34 got an enlarged IC also)

LOL!

I wonder if we have some at work?
Although I deliver over 50 differnt lines, iv never seen any race bread on the product lise.

Anyway, did the orginal R30 GTR (the bathurst killer) run a single or Twin turbo?
and did the R33 or R34 GTS-t remain a single Turbo?

The R33 GTS-T is a single turbo RB25
the R34 GT-T is single turbo also

There was no R30 GTR as the GTR name was only reintroduced with the arrival of the R32 GTR.

The car you are thinking of would be the R31 GTS-R which from the information I can find ran a single turbo set up

Thats the one!

But Iv heard the GTR name was actualy used one of the earlier skyline models.
Either one of the first Turbos from the early 80s, or maybe even one of the orginal 70s models.

Anywho, the first GTR was the GT GC10 SERIES GT-R. Powered by a 1998cc 160hp double over head cam 6cyl. S20 engine it was offered in two models a 2dr and 4dr. It was produced from 1969-1972
I seem to think this car can be seen at the very end of Bruce Lee: Fists of Fury

Next came the 2000 GT-R from 1972-1977. The C110 series to be exact, it came in several trim lvls. The 2000GT-X was driven by a L20 2.0L OHC Inline-6 engine at 130HP. The 2000GT-R used the S20 2.0L DOHC Inline-6 engine with 160HP and the 1800 was powered by the G18 engine, and the 1600 by the G16. It too came in 4-door configuration and 2-door.

The same body style came back from a 4 year vacation with a vengence (Lets hope it does the same in 04 ) the 1600TI was powered by a 1.6 litre engine, the 1800TI-e.x, 2000GT up to the 2000 GT-e.x in 1980 which carried 140HP L20ET OHC Inline-6 Turbocharged engine. This marks the first time a Skyline had used a turbo and this new car was a beast for it's time Interestingly enough, I don't think there was a GT-R trim lvl in this gen

Then came the R30s with their turbocharged FJ20 2.0L DOHC 16V Inline-4 and a N/A FJ20 putting out 190hp and 145hp respectivly. The 2000GT and 2800GT I6 engines.

Next were the R31s, this is the start of very good things. The R31 GT was the first Skyline to us an RB engine with it's RB20DET. Also GTS-X was the first to use HICAS

Then of course the 8th Gen R32 came along, ate up the 8s at Bathurst and we all know the rest of the story
