damnit, i'm also tryin a 'full detail' but don't think i'm gonna be able to do ALL the required CF work as i can't afford enough o the stuff! may have a sneaky way of avoiding it tho. are you using any PE stuff? if so, which one(s)?

Re: Eighties Contest Entry:Sauber Mercedes C9 progress

This will be the 1989 Le mans full detail version, the first thing i did was to cut of the frontend then i cut out the doors with the backside of a blade.Evergreen was then used to minimize the gap between the door and body. The thickness of the plastic was also reduced.

Enjoy,thats all for the moment.

Re: Eighties Contest Entry:Sauber Mercedes C9

made my own folder for PE parts that i will use for this project, because i dont want to pay $65.00 for a Etch Mate,i rather spent the money on some kits.

Re: Eighties Contest Entry:Sauber Mercedes C9

A bit of progress to the body done here as you can see, still a lot to do.Some areas have been sanded down to scale to give it a good fit, still have to do some putty and sanding work on some spots.Sorry about the bad pictures had to work with flashlight, hope you can guess what has being done.
