Question Skyline shipping question ?

A friend of mine said he ordered a skyline through the nissan dealer ship. He said something about them saying they were gonna have some in stock soon and he should place a back order or something. Now I know for a fact that this car isn't being sold in the US so why would the ydo such a thing. I know you can order them, but can you order them through a dealership ? Becuase if you can it would sound a little smart cause that way they pay shipping and all. But is it even possible ? let alone legal ? Ontop of that he said he only paid like 31k for a 92 gts something ? can anyone help me with this ? If any of what he said is true then I'm making a trip to that dealer ship this weekend .

I would say that it's crap too. As far as I know, Motorex are the only ones who can comply Skylines in the US. If he has ordered one from somewhere else, it will still need to be complied by Motorex, so he will be paying a LOT of money if he is for real.

What about stripping the Sky and sending it body with no engine and interior over. Then shipping the interior, then the engine? I figure it would be expensive but maybe not as expensive as getting motorex to do it.

There is a possiblity of the Nissan dealership getting the brand new GT series skylines. So the dealership was a little vague and the possibility of the new GTR being available in the states.

Talking

You might want to check the stocklist at motorex (http://www.motorex.net/stocklist.html) they are selling a 1995 GT-S White 38,000 miles $30,000. its still a little high and its an automatic ..
