All I can find is that it is a concept that will be coming next year. Or so I think...

A 300-hp, twin-turbo S4 version will be available in mid-2003 as a 2004 model. I assume it will still be the 2.7l 6, if not that a varient of the current a4's 3.0. despite the horsepower boost the new S4 will likely be less sporting a car than the last generation. The A4 line seems to be getting more luxerious. it would take significant tuning to liven up the new chassis which, too me, resembles the A6 too much.

Do you think the new twinturbo S4 could compare times with the BMW 333hp M3?

My dad had a boosted s4 to about 410 hp from www.tap1.com and that thing is fast as hell. Compared to my rx7 its still fast althought it much heavier and slower.

The new S4 will have a V8 and no turbo. its going to be N/A. But still extremely fast. I know this because of the fact taht my dad gets the catolog for Audi every month.

Go ahead buy it!

the new S4 will have a non-turbo 4.2 V8 with 340hp 360ft./tq. All future "S" models will be non turbo, Audi will make rs models more often than it has before in an effort to expand the number of high performance models offered. RS models will be designed and built by Audi's Quattro division which will resemble Mercades' AMG division in it's operation as an independant designer and assembly of RS models. The previous RS models were made in cooperation with Cosworth racing Tecnologies in England. I think this is both good and bad.

when i was in england two weeks ago i looked in a mag there and they had a comparison of the volvo s60 AWD TT 300hp, the M3, and thte S4 which i am pretty sure was a 4.2 V8 TT.
suprisingly the volvo was about a half a second faster 0-60.

Cosworth Technology Ltd. will continue to design and engineer engine and driveline components for Audi, and even produce engine components for them. The RS6 engine is produced by Cosworth, fitting the 4.2 V8 into the b6 chassis was done by Cosworth. And my guess is they will contribute quite a bit to the RS4 development.

Yes, the New S4 is a N/A 4.2 V8, the same engine as offered in the RS6 withoutthe biturbo's, its has been tested and matched up against teh new m3 and has sucessfully outperformed it. Wih it being the same engine as the RS6, space limitation in consideration, I'm sure someoen will come up with we wa to attach one if not both of the turbo's. Rememer all these changes to the Audi lineup is in preparation for the new sportcar being produced in conjuction with Lamborghini.
