Cool Running sub cable, Need help / tips

I have a 91 Civic Sedan, and over the weekend I bought a 12" sub with box. I got the entire wire kit and, to my knowledge there are three wires I need to run to the trunk.
Power from battery to amp
Rca's from head unit to amp
Remo from head unit to amp (this cable is so the amp is powered only when stereo is powered so it isnt on all the time.

Can anyone suggest where and how to run all the cables so they are hidden beneath the stock carpeting. Also, how do I get the power cable from the engine compartment into the car and eventually to the trunk? Any help would be greatly appriceated

Hey Melt what i did was I ran the power cable from battery through the firewall passenger side then we pulled those phony plasic screws that hold the rug down in the top corner then we unscrewed the door sill and ran wire down along there under the back seat and thats it.

Thanks, sounds like the way to do it. From what I am told I should run the RCA's down the opposite side so the power and rca's dont interfere with each other. Also, is there an easy way to go through the pass side firewall or do I need to drill a hole, cause I heard I need to drill a hole.

Thanks a lot guys, thats a relief, no hole drilling.

One last question about the rca's and powert, should I run them down the opposite side of the car so they dont interfere with each other, or is that generally not a problem?

always try 2 keep the RCA (signal) and Power (voltage) at least a minimum of 12" away from each other for best results....

i ran my RCA down the drivers side and the remote and power down the passenger side.....under the door sills for a quick job.

if u need any help maybe we can hook up and i can give u some tips...

Sure, if you want to help, meet me at the radio shack on the corner of jefferson and pueblo around 5pm. I will be there meeting my friend who works there who knows how to do the shit. As far as this afternoon goes, I will work on some stuff for my dad and then go out front and try running some of the cable. If you are bored just cruise through the 400 block of seminary st. (near fuller park) and you should see my car, and possibly me out there working with it.

Run the RCA down the driver side. fits real well in there. Run the remote and the power down the passenger side. If you don't have A/C the big rubber block offs for the AC is a good place to run wires.

yeah, I live 2 houses down. I talk to them once in a while. Next time you are around you should swing by. I wont be here on wednesday, going to chico to visit a friend who moved there about a year ago.

Guideline if you come by -- Dont mention the sub, parents dunno I have it and I know they will find out sooner or later but I want it to be more later than sooner. My dad believes that it causes attention to be taken from the road. But anyway, I should be able to finish hooking it all up tonight with my friend so that will be cool.

Later
